Spirit Name: Vermillion Phoenix (Hou-ou)

Acquired: Kazuma obtained the spirit of the Hou-ou a few years after he was banished from his clan. He had been training outside of the village when the bright red chakra caused by the spirit caught his eye. He spent several minutes chasing it before it finally stopped. Since the spirit was noble and willing to help good people, the phoenix trusted in Kazuma’s story and decided to help him by allowing him to wield its great powers. Kazuma used a secret sealing technique from his old clan, the Kannagi clan, and sealed the powerful spirit inside his own body.

History: The spirit of the Vermillion Phoenix, the Hou-ou, lived through countless centuries without ever being disturbed by humans or even other spirits. The spirit was a noble being, and it did not wish to interfere in any types of battles between humans. That is the main reason for why it never seemed to be seen by human eyes. It was a coincidence that its bright red chakra happened to be spotted by Kannagi Kazuma during his training outside of the Hidden Village of the Phoenix. The spirit fled from him at first, but it began to stop when he sensed the goodness and pure intentions coming from the boy. That is when the phoenix decided to allow a human to wield its power for the very first time. It has now lived inside of Kazuma for two years and will sometimes grant him additional power for his fire techniques and extra life force when he is in battle. The phoenix’s only current goal is to protect his host and the entire village, because that is the only thing that Kazuma currently cares about.

Spirit Influence: The host of Hou-ou has red eyes, reddish hair and a tattoo of known has The Mark of Hou-ou on the lower part of the host’s back signifying south. Mark of Hou-ou

Rank 5:
- Seal Completely Broken, Mark of Hou-ou will disappear.
- Can use Hou-ou has a Summon.
- Hou-ou will leave the host and will find a new host.
